CONSTRUCTION KISOBOKA CENTER NEAR COMPLETION
The construction of the KisoBOKa Centre Makenke (Jinja District) is in its final stage. In the second round hut, which is intended for educational activities, this week the floor will be finished and by next week the furniture will come in.
The large hall is for 90% of tiles provided and if that job is finished, the gutters will be put – the collecting tanks are already there – and the floors refinished. This leaves the painting. The offices in the hall are already in use.
This also applies to the first round hut, where a limited time only, the first courses (eg. computer) take place, later moving to the educative space.
The volunteer house is already in use, but the iron sheets are being replaced by tiles and the veranda should be finished with a bamboo ceiling. The gate and driveway are ready, but the infield needs to be ‘dressed’.
All in all still work a few weeks, but the official opening is set on Wednesday, August 20. The opening will be performed by H. E. Alphons J.A.J.M.G. Hennekens, Ambassador of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Uganda
